RØUTE FIELD TESTING

RØUTE Field Testing

Field Tested, Not Boardroom Approved

At RØUTE, we don’t believe adventure gear should be designed from behind a desk. It should be built in the dirt, in the rain, on long days where plans fall apart and routes turn into stories.

That’s why every piece of RØUTE gear is field tested by us — not paid testers, not focus groups, not influencers ticking boxes. Just a small group of friends, riding the same bikes you ride, pushing the same limits, and dealing with the same realities that come with enduro and adventure riding.

Real Riders. Real Conditions.

Our testing starts the only way it should: with a rough plan and no guarantees.

Multi-day trips, long liaison sections, technical trails, unexpected weather, cold mornings, overheated afternoons, crashes, repairs, and hours in the saddle. If a jacket doesn’t breathe on a slow climb, we feel it. If a pocket placement is awkward with gloves on, it gets noticed. If a seam rubs after 10 hours of riding, it doesn’t make it to production.

We ride until something fails — or proves it won’t.

Designed Through Experience

Every adjustment to our gear comes directly from these rides. Zips moved, vents enlarged, fabrics changed, reinforcements added or removed. Sometimes the difference between good and great is only discovered when you’re tired, wet, and miles from anywhere.

Because we’re the ones wearing the gear, there’s nowhere to hide from bad decisions. If it doesn’t work, we’re the ones paying for it the next day.

Small Group. High Standards.

Keeping our testing group small is intentional. It keeps feedback honest, direct, and practical. No opinions filtered through meetings — just clear conversations at the end of a long day’s riding.

What survives our testing is gear we trust enough to wear again and again.

Built for the Long Way Round

RØUTE isn’t about perfection. It’s about reliability, function, and confidence when you’re committed to the route ahead — whatever it turns into.

If our gear carries us through another hard day on the trail, it earns its place. If it doesn’t, it goes back to the drawing board.

That’s how RØUTE is built.
On the bike. On the trail. In the real world.
